Hey guys! Who is ready for Halloween?! I know I sure am. I had a few of my girl friends over last night and we started munching on the candy that is supposed to be for Halloween 😉 Haha! But, MAN I just LOVE chocolate. I had gotten a bag of the mini sized candy bars (Twix, Snickers, Milky Way) at Aldi the other day when I went grocery shopping. I know it is a bit early to get the Halloween candy, but they were having such good deals on it that I couldn’t pass it up.
My Mother-in-Law brought Shawn and I some pumpkin pie the other day when she stopped by. I just love her desserts, especially her pumpkin pie! What is your favorite dessert? I honestly have MANY favorite desserts so there is no way that I can name JUST ONE! I have no idea what I want to dress up as for Halloween. I was thinking of doing a couples’ costume idea with Shawn, but I am having trouble deciding which one to do. I found many couples’ costume ideas on Pinterest, of course. I found one couple’s costume, where the girl is the one who got struck by the guy’s costume of lightning! I think this one is pretty clever not to mention hysterical!
Keep in mind that there is only the rest of October and until the end of November to order the Pumpkin Pie sugar scrub! Go to my Shop page to order through PayPal.
So many new and exciting things are starting to happen! I swear everything good always happens all at once it seems like. The only downside to some of these changes is that I may not have as much free time anymore. I am stuck trying to make some of these decisions. I am sure I will figure it out eventually.
Anyways, I will be selling my sugar scrubs along with a couple of other items at this upcoming craft show November 1st. I am not sure exactly what the other items will be yet as I am still brainstorming. I am sure the idea will hit me with one of those “AH-HA” moments. Food items seem to be pretty popular at craft shows, so I am thinking one of these items will be a food item. I am brainstorming with the ideas of cupcakes, chocolate covered pretzels and the good old fashioned chocolate chip cookie.
Have any of you crafters/bakers ever participated in a craft show before? Or have you ever gone to a craft show? As always, I appreciate your feedback 😉
I found a wonderful article via Pinterest on how to exfoliate the right way. The article is about learning how to exfoliate the body step-by-step. I found this article to be very informational and helpful to all of us using sugar scrubs and other exfoliants as a part of our shower routine. One very important thing to remember is to NEVER exfoliate the body every single day. The skin can become dry and irritated. I made this mistake one time in the past and my skin was very dry and became more sensitive. Another very important step in the exfoliation process is to make sure that you moisturize right after you step out of the shower! I hope that you find the the below article helpful.
Keep in mind that all of my sugar scrubs are natural and have no added chemicals or preservatives. This makes the scrub less likely to irritate the skin and/or cause an allergic reaction. Pumpkin Pie sugar scrub has the following ingredients: Clove, cinnamon, pumpkin pie spice, coconut oil, sugar and vanilla extract.
Take care of yourself on this Monday! Get an extra cup of coffee to wake up from the weekend 😉
I am learning so much about the world of blogging! My next door neighbor Val is wonderful for showing me how to do all of this stuff! I did not realize how time-consuming starting up a blog is. I really appreciated all of Val’s help. It takes a lot of time and effort to start up a blog, as many of you all already know!
I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend. I had a lot of fun at Mapleside Farms in Brunswick, Ohio with two of my best friends. We went apple picking and went on a fun hayride through the apple orchard. I must say that the apples were very delicious and ripe. The orchard had some free McIntosh apples that they were giving away to everyone. I cannot wait to start baking some apple pies for Thanksgiving!
Here is a picture of me on one of the hayrides that we went on. This tractor had pigs for the seats! It was adorable.
